HugeURL, Because TinyURL Is For Wimps

hugeurl.jpgServices like tinyurl offer a way to send long confusion links as simple short URLs — particularly handy for e-mail, where line breaks can be a problem, or Twitter where brevity is the essence of brevity.

But everyone knows bigger is better, which is why you might, for variety sake want to use HugeURL every now and again. HugeURL takes an otherwise short and innocuous url and transforms it into a paragraph length collection garbage that you can then paste into a e-mail or webpage.

For instance why would you want to simply link to http://wired.com, when you can link to

Now that my friends is a URL to be proud of. And, just like tinyurl your audience has no clue where it will lead — could be a porn link, could be a virus laden site from Russia, could be your blog, who knows and who needs to, it’s huge, that’s what counts.

There’s even t-shirts which you can be the second proud owner of, or at least that’s how it looks judging by HugeURL’s sidebar which reads: “Hey! I sold one! If you see a guy in Australia wearing a HugeURL shirt, tell him how much he rocks.”
