Master The Latest Twaddle With Twictionary
On a whim, according to the copyright statement, a couple of Twitter users started Twictionary, a dictionary of Twitter terminology to help the confused.
Some terms are cleverish, like “switch twitter,” a person with multiple Twitter accounts. Many can be reverse-engineered to glean their meanings, like “twiend” or “twavatar.” Most make the speaker sound rather twee or twittish.
I am not enough of a Twitter user to know if most of this twerminology is silly fabrications or in actual use among the twitterati. I did spot a missing entry: twitpitching seems to be a… thing these days.
But anyone can add it, since Twictionary is a wiki page hosted on PBwiki. Using TWiki would have been one tweak too far.
