New Year’s Eve Panoramas from Around the World
If, like some of us, you spent New Year’s at home trying to stave off the cold and missed out on the public festivities, we have the next best thing — panorama’s of all the public celebrations from around the world.
The images (like the one of London above) come from Panoramas.dk and so far there are shots from ten different cities with more in the works. There’s also some (highly compressed) audio included for those looking to re-live the various countdowns.
If you’d like to learn more about how panorama photos work, there’s a handy tutorial on the process. As with most things VR, you’ll need to have the Quicktime plug-in installed.
