TwitterCamp Says Hi
One of the non-iPhone apps in the spotlight here is Daniel Dura’s TwitterCamp. It’s running on two flat screens like this one at the back of the room, and there’s also a giant screen behind the speakers displaying the app. TwitterCamp is an AIR application — it utilizes Adobe’s recently-released integrated runtime for internet-enabled desktop apps — which displays messages from followers of any Twitter account.
Here’s how it works: Log in to Twitter and add iPhoneDevCamp as a friend. Then, whenever you send out a tweet, it shows up on the big board here at the camp. TwitterCamp is an open-source application released under the MIT license, so you can download it and run it on your desktop if you have the AIR beta runtime installed. Pretty sweet.
