We were so cute when we were young…

Maybe you saw the page listing the 100 Greatest Internet Moments that went around the ‘net earlier this week. Or maybe you didn’t.

Regardless, we were tickled to spot some HotWired flavor in a few places on the list of great things to happen on the Interweb. In particular, Dave Cassel, who authored the list, has fond memories of the birth of Webmonkey. He links to one of our own favorite images ever to run on the RGB Gallery frontdoor, the old auto-shop-gas-station-thingy, complete with rotating wrench. Turns out the link that follows that page happens to be dead… we’ll have to see if we can do something about that. You know, for old time’s sake.

Other notables from his list of great moments: the 9-11 tourist, Ana Marie Cox (also ex-HotWired) outing Washingtonienne, and our old favorite CockEyed’s experiments involving “how many blanks would it take to blank a blank?” scenarios.
