More information about Amazon Web Services.
What you'll need
This tutorial is designed for Linux. I will update it later with some Windows and Mac tips.
You will need:
- A SSH client: Most Linux/UNIX installations include a SSH client. If for some reason you do not have one, you can download the OpenSSH tools.
- Java Runtime Environment: Amazon EC2 client command line tools require Java 5 or later. Get either the JDK (Java Development Kit) or JRE (Java Runtime Environment) from http://java.sun.com. Please, be sure to set the JAVA_HOME environment variable after installation.
Steps
Setting up your Amazon Web Services account
First off we will open an Amazon Web Services account and sign up for both Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) and Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3). You need both services to use Amazon EC2.
