To qualify, your site needs to be brand new or completely redesigned in 2008, and fit into <a href="http://sxsw.com/interactive/web_awards/categories">one of these categories</a>. Get to polishing up that site, because the deadline to enter is December 19.</p>
<p>The cost is $25 per site. You can enter in multiple categories, but you have to pay another fee. The entries are judged on visual design, functionality, interactivity, content, and creativity by &#8220;industry peers and experts.&#8221; To get an idea of what flies with the hip SXSW crowd, check out <a href="http://2008.sxsw.com/interactive/web_awards/finalists/">last year&#8217;s finalists</a>.</p>
<p>And if there&#8217;s a name on that list that looks familiar, it might be because <a href="http://blog.wired.com/underwire/2008/03/sxsw-its-the-we.html">Wired.com won last year</a> in the Classic category.</p>
