ZZ Top sang it best: "What really knocked me out was her cheap sunglasses." She probably was wearing cheap sunglasses rather than cheap designer sunglasses! But now designer sunglasses are considered a stylish fashion accessory, and quality glasses are offered by the likes of Fendi, Giorgio Armani, Christian Dior and D&G sunglasses.

Sunglasses first became a fashion in the United States during the early days of the silent film. Film speeds were very slow ao the very first movie stars from silent films acted under extremely powerful arc lamps. As a result, their eyes were usually red so they used dark glasses to hide their eyes in public! However, when the fans saw the movie stars in their dark sunglasses, they thought they were a cool fashion, and D&G sunglasses became trendy throughout the world.

In addition to their obvious use as trendy fashion accessories, sunglasses, or "shades", can provide healthy benefits. Typically these glasses will block harmful Type A or Type B ultraviolet rays, and others block blue light which is often poorly focused by the eyes; these glasses help to sharpen vision. Naturally many sunglasses have prescription lenses to correct your own unique vision, and are dark or polarizing as well.

Of course, fendi sunglasses have become available through an online shopping experience, and bargains are to be had in many of the name brands. Major online jewelry stores offer safe, and even fun, real time auctions in their stores for the name brands at huge discounts to retail. Whether Rhinestone shades or cheap sunglasses: with their novel glass lenses and stylish frames, these designer models make sunglasses a fashion accessory any time of the year.
