Introduction

If you've been to a wedding ceremony in recent years, you've probably seen a wedding photo slideshow, most often running in DVD Player or PC. It's a great way to introduce the new couple or show the groom and bride, from diapers to diamonds, and from birth through engagement. Furthermore, the wedding slideshow keeps lifetime memories for you and your spouse. This article tells you what makes a perfect wedding slideshow and how to.

About what makes a perfect wedding slideshow, here is general experience.

  • Never too long wedding slideshow. 5 minutes at most are preferred.
  • Avoid Complicated wedding slideshow. Each photo should get emotional response, either making audience laugh or tear up.
  • Suitable music to make wedding slideshow emotional.
  • Necessary description of photos. Maybe many people can't recognize people on wedding slideshow photo. As described above, not too much text.

Step 1: Get Everything Ready

Like wedding ceremony preparing, you should get things ready to make a perfect wedding slideshow. First, you need to pick out favorite photos from tons of them, and if the photos are not digital, you may need to scan it and save into digital photos, using Image Scanner. Second, you need a wedding slideshow maker to create wedding slideshow. This guide will use Wondershare DVD Slideshow Builder for example. Third, if you plan to play wedding slideshow DVD on wedding reception, you should buy some DVD disc onto which burn your wedding slideshow. Both DVD±R, DVD±RW, DVD-RAM are supported if using Wondershare DVD Slideshow Builder.

Step 2: Import Photos and Music

Run Wondershare DVD Slideshow Builder after installed. The program will lead you into Slideshow tab to import photos and music. Random transition effects will be automatically applied to wedding photos while importing. To edit photos and music, simply double-click corresponding object on Storyboard. To change transition, click transition thumbnail and select your desired transition in the pop-up dialog.

Step 3: Add Titles/Credits

To add titles, just click "T" icon on top of Storyboard. Add Subtitle dialog will show up. Here, firstly input your titles/credits in the text box and set font attributes, like font, size, color, style, etc. Most important, you could specify text effect to make animated titles/credits.

Step 4: Output Wedding Slideshow

  • To Wedding Slideshow DVD

Switch to Menu tab to author a personalized wedding slideshow DVD menu. You could click on Category on top left and go to Wedding category to apply a wedding occasion menu template. Next, right click on menu area to customize your wedding slideshow DVD menu. For example. You could right-click and select Set Background Image to specify a photo as menu background. Go to Create tab to burn your wedding slideshow onto DVD. Prior to this, you could also go to Preview tab to preview your wedding slideshow with the help of virtual remote control on right. Generally speaking, you can directly click Start button to burn your wedding slideshow DVD immediately. However, many video&audio options in the Option dialog are provided to high-quality wedding slideshow DVD.

4:3 and 16:9 video are also supported. Note that you must select correct TV standard to play your wedding slideshow DVD successfully on your TV. If you are in USA, skip this. The default TV standard is NTSC, which USA uses. Otherwise, select your TV standard with the help of Help button in Options dialog.

  • To Wedding Slideshow Video

Wedding slideshow video could be played on computer or share on website. To save wedding slideshow as video, simply select output format in the output format drop-down list, lastly click Start button to go. Default video and audio settings are applied, including Encoder, Resolution, Frame Rate, Quality, etc. Change them when necessary by click Options button in the bottom left corner. These formats of wedding slideshow video are supported: MP4, AVI, WMV, 3GP, MPEG-I and MPEG-II wedding slideshow video
