Staff
The Webmonkey crew remains tucked in a hidden corner of the Wired Digital compound, sharing glances, exchanging assurances with histories of love, rejection, and longing that cannot be masked. In addition to the core Webmonkey team, a lot of fine folk write for the Monkey. Some used to work here at Webmonkey, some are friends (or friends of friends), some are industry leaders and innovators. But they're all Monkeys. Read our Staff page to find out more — much, much more.
Webmonkey Site Tour
Learn, in excruciating detail, how to find your way around this here site and discover which Monkey niche beginner, builder, or master you should call home.
Monkeybites Blog
With the help of sister site Tripod's new Blog Builder Tool, which actual Webmonkeys helped build!, now we can give you all the day-to-day gossip, musings, and hard-hitting facts that we usually save up for our therapists.
Monkey Bites
Chew on the leftovers of Webmonkey's long-standing list of Web-dev news items, links to useful sites, handy coding tips, or just random pieces of information we think might be of the very slightest interest to you and yours.
The Official Webmonkey Link Button Page
Want to link your site to ours? Gee, thanks! But why not make your life easier and use one of our luscious link buttons? They're awfully cute, but be sure to read every tedious detail of the legal mumbo-jumbo or we'll see you on The People's Court.
Webmonkey Japan
If you enjoy the fine content we have here but get bored by all the tedious English, please try our sister site, conveniently located in Japan. Banish antiquated code to the land of wind and ghosts.
Pranks and Other Miscellany
Happy Sixth Birthday, Webmonkey!
This past August, Webmonkey turned six years old! Come celebrate with us as we explore all the triumphs, freak shows, missteps, hiccups, and backfires that have made Webmonkey what it is today: kind of portly.
Spank: Summer Break '98
In this curiously indecipherable experiment, members of our very own
staff show and tell you what they did on their summer vacation. Inside:
The Monkeys, Mozilla, and a 1,000-foot-tall Hula Girl do battle in a
multimedia, animated, graphic-novella-type extravaganza. Read at your
own risk.
Spank 2: The Secret of Mousehand
You know how sometimes you decide to just kick back and do something
quick and fun, and then months later, you end up with a sprawling, weird,
disjointed choose-your-own-adventure story? Well, once again, that's
happened to us. We're proud to present The Secret of Mousehand, the second
chapter in our infamous Spank series. This time out, you control the
storyline. Will you end up finding true love in a burrito shop or dying of
blood loss in a creepy cult compound? You decide! (No refunds.)
Webmonkey Halloween
Get-ups
OK, it's five minutes before the big masquerade ball, and all you have
is that stupid, fake-scab makeup kit. Well, never fear, Webmonkey comes to
the rescue with three printable masks and complete documentation on
how to use them. Dress up as Webmonkeys Evany, Mattmarg, or Taylor
they certainly scare the pants off us.
HotWired Han
Solo Design Contest
Curator Jeff Veen and the mighty Jillo put this together for a site on
HotWired we used to call Test Patterns. Rumor has
it that Mr. Lucas himself laid eyes upon our fabulous works of art
and then recoiled in horror.
Luke's
Illustrations
What would Webmonkey be without Luke's magnificent drawings? We've put
our favorites in one place to honor our great former leader.
