How Does ParaWorks Work?

Getting started with ParaWorks is fairly simple. All you have to do is sign up for Para, create your ParaWorks profile, and then begin claiming available jobs in your area.

Here's a more in-depth of each step to help you start.

1. Sign Up

ParaWorks is available for free on the Google and Apple app stores.

When you sign up, Para actually shares your driving history with its partners. This makes onboarding very quick, so you don't have to make a resume and then individually apply to companies or gigs to find work.

You don't have to go through tedious background checks either with partners since again, Paraworks is basically your resume.

Once you download the app and finish signing up, you can also view a list of available jobs in your area to get a quick idea of what's going on in your market.

2. Accept Jobs

You can find available gigs in the ParaWorks “works” tab. The in-app map highlights where gigs are and also how much they paid ahead of time.

This is a massive advantage over working for jobs like Uber Eats or Instacart where you never really know how much you're making per hour.

You can tap on an available gig to learn what's involved, like what you're delivering or how far you're driving. Currently, ParaWorks has several types of gigs you can complete, including:

• Grocery delivery
• Merchandise
• Courier delivery
• Large catering orders

The gig variety is nice since you can look for jobs that interest you. And again, the main selling point is that you know how much you're getting paid.

ParaWorks is also useful for multi-apping since you can browse it to find extra work if your other apps are being slow.

3. Complete Jobs

After you claim a job, ParaWorks sends you all of the information you need to do the gig. This includes information like when and where to show up as well as the drop-off address.

There are also a few gig categories with ParaWorks:

• Individual Gigs: These are one-time jobs with a one to two day completion window.
• On-Demand Gigs: These are more time-sensitive jobs that you need to complete ASAP.

ParaWorks pays you differently depending on the partner you work with. This is because ParaWorks has quite a few partners, some of whom process payments differently.

You can check out ParaWorks' payment schedule on its website. But know that for most gigs, Para processes payments every Tuesday via Gigwage. However, a few select partners use Gusto, Cash App, Venmo, and other payment processing platforms.

Ultimately, ParaWorks is a viable way to make quick money, and you're getting paid within a week of completing a job.

How Much Does ParaWorks Pay?

ParaWorks pays $25 per hour on average according to its website. How much you earn depends on the type of job you're doing and how many hours you work for. But you always know exactly how much you're getting paid before claiming a job.

And again, ParaWorks tends to pay more per hour than jobs like Uber Eats or DoorDash, which is a massive advantage. And if you get a long shift or route-delivery gig, you can make some pretty decent cash.

Pros:

Cons:

• ParaWorks is a new platform and isn't available in every city yet

Ultimately, I think ParaWorks should be used in conjunction with other delivery gigs. It can help make your delivert side hustle more stable, and the hourly pay is great. Just don't rely on it for a full-time income or all your orders.

If you're currently multi-apping to make money in the gig economy, I think ParaWorks is worth trying. Para's useful suite of tools can help you accept better orders so you make more money. And, ParaWorks also offers high-paying gigs you can snag during your downtime.
