I've personally been using these types of sites to earn money online ever since college. In fact, I've probably made thousands of dollars with them over the years.

LifePoints, one of the most popular survey platforms out there, is a perfect example of this type of side hustle. It lets you share your opinion to earn, and the platform is available in over 40 countries.

But is LifePoints legit? And how much money can you really make by signing up and completing surveys?

Overall, the platform provides a very easy way to make money online by sharing your opinion. And LifePoints has millions of members from around the world, making it a leader in the paid survey space.

Is LifePoints Legit?

Yes, LifePoints is legit, and the platform has millions of members from around the world and has paid out over $20 million in rewards just last year. There's also plenty of positive online LifePoints reviews and payment proof, and I found that the site is easy to use and cash out with.

Most negative LifePoints reviews are from people who want to earn much more money by answering surveys.

However, LifePoints isn't an online job or full-time income source. It's just a part-time side hustle you can do to earn a bit of free cash and gift cards for sharing your opinion.

As long as you have realistic expectations, you should find success with this legitimate paid survey website.

How Does LifePoints Work?

I signed up for LifePoints to test out the site, and the process is extremely simple. All-in-all, LifePoints works in five quick steps:

2. Complete your profile
3. Complete LifePoints surveys
4. Enter contests
5. Cash out

1. Sign Up

Signing up for LifePoints is completely free, and you have to be at least 14 or older to use the platform. This makes it very accessible and a popular survey site for teens and adults alike.

LifePoints is also available in over 45 countries and in 26 languages, which is a selling point.

To sign up for LifePoints, you simply create an account with your email address. You can also sign up via Facebook, Google, or your Apple account.

Once you sign up, LifePoints sends you an email address with a verification link you need to click to finish setting up your account.

2. Complete Your Profile

Once you sign up for LifePoints, you have to complete a brief profile questionnaire. This helps LifePoints match you with more relevant surveys, and other websites like Survey Junkie and Pinecone Research do the exact same thing.

Profile questions are basic and include questions about your:

• Ethnicity
• Hobbies
• Household composition
• Income

I was also asked to review and agree to a couple different documents including a privacy policy and terms and conditions of membership.

After completing my profile, LifePoints paid me 10 points, which is worth about $0.10. This isn't a great sign up bonus, but it's at least something, and the profile questionnaire just takes a minute or two.

3. Complete Surveys

After completing your member profile, you have to wait at least 24 hours before LifePoints matches you with surveys that are a good fit.

This part is a bit annoying, but if you have patience, LifePoints surveys eventually become available on your dashboard under the “Surveys” tab. Surveys also outline how many points they pay and how long they take, so you roughly know how much you're earning for your efforts.

Most surveys take about 10 to 20 minutes and pay 75 to 200 points, or about $0.75 to $2. This works out to about $2 to $6 per hour max, although I'd say LifePoints pays a bit on the lower side.

Also note that survey disqualifications happen, which is annoying. You still earn a few points when this happens, which is nice, but don't expect to make $100 a day with this survey site.

A lack of other earning methods is also a slight downside if you run out of surveys.

In contrast, other sites like Swagbucks and Kashkick have options like playing games for PayPal cash, shopping offers, and watching ads. So if you want multiple earning methods, other money-making apps and sites are better choices.

4. Enter Contests

While surveys are the primary way to earn on LifePoints, there are contests that you can enter as well. You can find these on the community tab in LifePoints, and it's a way to potentially earn free points and rewards without much effort.

LifePoints also says they have special giveaways on social media where you can win free LifePoints. 

I wouldn't count on these contests since your odds of winning are slim. But it's nice that LifePoints regularly gives back to its members.

5. Cash Out

The minimum cash out requirement on LifePoints is 550 points for a $5 gift card. You can also redeem your points for free PayPal cash and dozens of other gift cards, although a lot of gift cards start at $10 and require 1,100 points to redeem.

Overall, the LifePoints point system is a bit confusing since some gift cards cost 550 points while other $5 ones might cost 600. But generally, you need about 550 points to redeem gift card rewards on LifePoints.

How Much Does LifePoints Pay?

LifePoints pays around 50 to 150 points per survey you complete, which is worth about $0.50 to $1.50. You can find surveys that pay 200 to 300 points or more, but these are less common. And most surveys take about 10 to 20 minutes to complete.

Each LifePoint you earn is worth about $0.01. However, this amount varies slightly depending on how you choose to redeem them.

Overall, you can probably make a few dollars per hour with LifePoints if you consistently answer surveys and don't get disqualified.

Also note that LifePoints expire if you have 12 months of inactivity, or 3 years after earning them, whichever comes first. Because of this, you will want to keep an eye on your balance and redeem your points whenever possible.

Ultimately, you can use LifePoints to earn quick money in your spare time. But don't expect to get rich with this paid survey panel.

No, LifePoints isn't a scam, and there's plenty of positive online reviews and payment proof. I also found that using LifePoints is very easy, and the company pays out millions of dollars per year in rewards to its members.
