I Tried 30+ Of The Best Beermoney Websites – Here Are My Favorites
If you've been following WebMonkey for a while, you know that I absolutely love the world of beermoney.
Beermoney, which is often associated with the r/beermoney or Reddit Beermoney group of over 400,000 users, refers to making bits of extra cash in your spare time.
Of course, you don't have to spend your extra cash on beverages; but the idea is to make some nice side cash you can use to improve your finances.
Now, after testing out hundreds of beermoney sites and apps over the years, I've decided to break down some of my all-time favorites.
The Best Beermoney Sites & Apps
I've been making money with beermoney apps and sites from r/beermoney ever since college. And over the years, I've found the ones that pay and the ones that are a waste of time. So, if you're looking for some high paying apps and sites, let's get right to it!
1. Branded Surveys
Another leading beermoney site is Branded Surveys, a market research website that lets you get paid for your opinion.
It's free to sign up, and once you complete your profile, you can start answering short surveys to earn. And you can cash out for free PayPal cash and a variety of different gift cards once you earn $5.
What's cool about Branded Surveys is that it lets you earn free bonus cash through the Branded Elite program. Essentially, the more surveys you complete per month, the more bonus points you can earn through various Branded Elite loyalty tiers.
This feature makes Branded Surveys a great beermoney website if you grind out a lot of surveys per month. But it's also a useful site for more casual hustlers.
You can learn more about how this platform works in our official Branded Surveys review!
Availability: Canada, the United States, and the UK.

2. Swagbucks
Swagbucks is another popular way to make beermoney online, and this site is one of the largest GPT companies in the space.
I used Swagbucks back in my phone farming days very frequently. In fact, I've probably cashed out the most with this beermoney app out of any other platform.
Some of the earning methods on Swagbucks include:
- Answering surveys
- Watching ads
- Downloading apps for money
- Shopping online
- Playing mobile games
- Playing trivia for money through SwagIQ
Gift card rewards also start at just $1, so you can make quick money with this beermoney company. PayPal rewards are also available starting at $5.
Availability: Mostly global.
3. Kashkick
Kashkick is a newer player in this space, but it's another way to earn a fast $10 to $20 in PayPal money or more in your spare time.
With Kashkick, the main way to make money is by answering short surveys. But you can also earn cash for completing paid offers, which usually involve downloading a new mobile game or trying out different products.
Surveys usually pay $1 to $2, but some of the paid offers pay $20 to $40 or more. You only need $10 to cash out, and Kashkick pays you with PayPal money.
Availability: United States.
4. Prime Opinion
Prime Opinion is a new survey platform that makes it easy to answer questions for money. And with surveys paying upwards of $5 upon completion, it's one of the highest paying survey websites out there.
Signing up is free, and you can also get a $5 sign up bonus right now. From there, Prime Opinion lets you cash out with dozens of gift cards or via PayPal.
You can also cash out at $5 which is quite competitive. And there's also a unique leaderboard system and giveaways to help active members earn even more.
Availability: Global.
5. Cash Giraffe
If you have an Android and enjoy mobile gaming, then Cash Giraffe is for you.
This app is similar to Mistplay and Rewarded Play and pays you to download and play new games. It also has survey and shopping offers, however, so it's quite versatile.
My favorite part about the app is that it takes $0.20 to cash out through PayPal, which doesn't take long to reach. And, Cash Giraffe has dozens of games and offers to try at a time.
You can also try out apps from its parent company, like JustPlay and Cash Cow, for even more options.
Availability: Global.

6. Scrambly
Scrambly is a new rewards platform that's available in Canada and the United States.
What makes the platform unique is that its team hand-picks offers for its members. So, you can earn by discovering new games you want to play, completing shopping offers, and by trying out new products and services.
Some of the offers on Scrambly pay $10 to $50 or more. And to date, I've made more than $400 with the platform.
You can cash out with PayPal as well as gift cards to companies like Apple and Amazon. It only takes $1 to cash out as well, which is a selling point.
Availability: United States and Canada.
7. Mistplay
When it comes to apps that pay you to play games, Mistplay is one of the most popular apps around.
This Android-only app is basically a loyalty program for mobile gaming fans. All you have to do is download Mistplay and then download games from its library and play them to begin earning.
Mistplay lets you redeem points for a variety of free gift cards, and redemptions actually start at $0.50 for Amazon gift cards, which is pretty reasonable.
Again, no beermoney app will ever make you rich, but if you already play mobile games, apps like Mistplay are worth trying.
Availability: Dozens of countries.
8. Survey Junkie
Survey Junkie is one of the most popular websites in the business, and for good reason.
While most survey websites aren't worth it, Survey Junkie actually lets you cash out through PayPal or free gift cards once you reach $5.
This is a realistic cash out threshold, and while it won't replace your day job, you can definitely benefit from answering surveys in your spare time with Survey Junkie.
Availability: Fairly global.

9. Ipsos iSay
Like Branded Surveys, another site you can use to earn PayPal cash and gift cards is Ipsos iSay.
This leading survey app and site lets you complete short online surveys to earn points. You then cash out once you earn $5, and Ipsos iSay has dozens of gift cards and PayPal money to choose from.
I like Ipsos iSay since it's available in dozens of countries. And a lot of the surveys pay $1 to $1.50, so you can actually cash out pretty quickly.
Overall, Ipsos is a reliable, easy online side hustle. And you can mix it in with other beermoney websites and cherry pick the highest paying surveys.
Availability: Global.
10. Pinecone Research
In my opinion, Pinecone Research (U.S. only) is one of the best beermoney sites in the business.
That's because you earn $3 for every survey you complete on Pinecone Research, which is a much higher rate than popular sites like InboxDollars.
Now, you have to apply to join Pinecone Research, and once you're accepted, you receive email invites when you qualify for a survey. This means you can't endlessly answer surveys to make extra cash, but again, the $3 payout rate is what makes this an excellent website.
You can also cash out instantly for various free gift cards or PayPal cash, so you don't have to wait ages to enjoy your rewards.
Availability: United States.
Sign up for Pinecone Research or read my Pinecone Research review for all the details.
11. Toluna
Toluna Influencers is another popular site that's ideal if you want to play games for PayPal cash.
There's a variety of games on the platform, with genres like puzzle and board games being pretty popular. You can also earn with paid surveys, and surveys usually pay between $0.25 to $1.50.
The minimum redemption on Toluna is $5, and reward options include PayPal money and a bunch of different gift cards.
Availability: United States, Canada, and the UK.
Start earning with Toluna Influencers!
12. MySoapBox
Another one of my favorite beermoney sites that's a great way to make money online as a beginner is MySoapBox.
This survey site is available in the United States, Canada, and many European countries. And you can sign up and begin earning if you're 13 or older.
Once you sign up, you can answer short surveys to earn points. You then redeem those points for a wide range of gift cards to companies like Amazon, Home Depot, Sephora, Target, Walmart, and Uber Eats.
You need $25 to cash out the first time, but future cash outs only require $5, which doesn't take very long to earn at all.
13. InboxDollars
Speaking of InboxDollars, it's impossible to write a list of the best beermoney sites without mentioning this popular platform.
InboxDollars is a sister-site to Swagbucks. It lets you get free PayPal cash and gift cards in your spare time, and it also has a nice $5 sign up bonus.
In the past, InboxDollars required $25 to cash out, which was pretty steep. But it's recently lowered its cash out requirement to $10 to $15 depending on the reward you're going for.
You can read my post on the best InboxDollars hacks for tips to earn as much as possible!
Availability: The United States.

14. Receipt Scanning Apps
I want to group this category of apps together since the idea is pretty similar. All you need to do is download various reward apps that pay you to scan receipts and you can then earn easy cash back for your daily shopping.
This is an easy way to make money shopping. And some of my favorite apps in this category include:
Between these apps, you can earn daily cash back and gift cards when you shop for groceries, gas, and everyday essentials. And I've personally cashed out with all of these apps over the years and still use several of them to this day.
Availability: Mostly the United States.
15. Rewarded Play
Rewarded Play is another popular beermoney app that lets you earn free gift cards for playing new Android games.
The app has hundreds of games across genres like action, adventure, strategy, and card games.
You earn points as you play games and complete in-game missions. And once you earn $5 worth of points, you can redeem them for gift cards to companies like Amazon, Nike, Target, and many more retailers.
I like Rewarded Play because of the sheer number of games it offers. And it's an excellent money making app if you already spend time gaming on your phone.
Read our Rewarded Play review for more info.
Availability: United States and Canada
16. Amazon MTurk
When it comes to making money on Amazon, the MTurk program is probably one of the most misunderstood.
Amazon MTurk, or Mechanical Turk, is a marketplace of “Human Intelligence Tasks,” or HITs. In a nutshell, some micro tasks simply can't be automated by machines (yet) and require humans to verify and complete.
Examples of jobs you find on Amazon MTurk include:
- Identifying objects in videos
- Data deduplication
- Various QA jobs
- Transcription jobs
- Search engine evaluation
Some MTurk workers have made more than $50,000 over the course of several years. However, MTurk usually works out to around minimum wage if you get decent at it, and a bit lower if you're slow.
Availability: United States + 10 other countries.
17. Opinion Outpost
Opinion Outpost is another massively popular paid survey website that's been a long-standing player in the beermoney community.
According to its website, more than 3.5 million members cash out $390,000 dollars every month…which equates to over 3 million surveys per month!
These are big numbers, but Opinion Outpost keeps things simple, which is actually a good thing. You can answer surveys, watch ads, and occasionally test products to earn points. Points are redeemable for PayPal cash, prepaid Visas, and Amazon gift cards.
Like Survey Junkie, there's also a $5 payout minimum. And you can join if you're 17 or older, making it a popular survey site for teens.
Availability: U.S., Canada, Germany, the UK.
Sign up for Opinion Outpost and start earning!
18. Gamehag
If you want to make money playing video games, you're going to love Gamehag.
Unlike most platforms that just pay you for download new mobile games, Gamehag lets you earn in a variety of ways, including playing PC games, writing articles, and winning giveaways.
The sheer selection of games is what makes Gamehag stand out. The bottom line is if you like playing video games, Gamehag is probably one of the most fun beermoney websites you can try.
Plus, rewards include prepaid Mastercards, in-game skins, free Steam games, Bitcoin, and gift cards.
Availability: U.S.
19. MyPoints
MyPoints is another popular beermoney site that's also a little more versatile than your average survey website.
The company is similar to Swagbucks, but one of the main way to make money with MyPoints is to shop for cashback offers.
MyPoints lets you apply coupon codes and earn cashback for shopping. You can also earn points for answering surveys. And right now, you get a $5 sign up bonus to sweeten the deal.
It takes $10 to cash out, and MyPoints lets you redeem points for dozens of free gift card options.
Availability: U.S. and Canada.
Signup for MyPoints and earn some free gift cards!
20. Prolific
Prolific is actually a paid research website where you can earn money for taking part in real research studies.
So, unlike most survey websites that focus on consumer preferences, you'll actually find some interesting science and health-based opportunities here.
Plus, the best part is that Prolific requires a minimum hourly rate of $6.50. So, while surveys might pay less than $6.50, when you break it down from an hourly earning perspective, it beats most beermoney survey sites by a mile.
Availability: Mostly global.
You can also read our post on the best sites like Prolific!
21. Grindabuck
Grindabuck is probably one of my personal favorite beermoney websites, and I've earned more than $100 from Grindabuck.
This get-paid-to (GPT) website lets you earn points by completing tasks like completing surveys, watching videos, and downloading new apps.
However, I've found Grindabuck's survey section is a lot more reliable than websites like Swagbucks, and the reward options are decent too.
On Grindabuck, you can redeem points for free gift cards, PayPal cash, and various crypto rewards. Your first cashout requires $10, but after that, you can begin cashing out at $5 and $1 which is awesome.
Availability: U.S., Canada, Germany, Australia, and the UK.
22. PrizeRebel
PrizeRebel is one of the most popular survey platforms in the business, and they also run frequent giveaways on r/Beermoney and are pretty liked by the community.
Paid surveys are the name of the game on PrizeRebel. With the points you earn, you can redeem:
- PayPal cash
- Direct bank payments
- Prepaid Visa cards
- Free gift cards
Plus, PrizeRebel has a $5 redemption minimum, so it's fairly competitive with other survey sites.
Availability: Global.
23. Respondent
Respondent is another paid research platform that's similar to Prolific. Essentially, Respondent connects medical and marketing researchers with consumers who fit the target for certain studies.
Once you create a Respondent profile, you fill out a pretty in-depth demographic questionnaire to help match you to relevant research studies. If you get matched with one, you can accept and participate to get paid.
Now, Respondent claims you can make around $150 per hour, which is pretty insane. You'll find some studies pay less, of course, but this is generally one of the higher-paying beermoney opportunities.
Just note: you need to be approved/invited for a study based on your profile…you can't just complete study after study to make money.
Availability: Mostly global.
24. User Testing
Testing websites for money is another popular beermoney hustle, and User Testing is one of the leaders in this space.
Once you join User Testing and get approved, you can sign up to test websites and apps that are in development. You earn $10 a test, which takes about 10 to 15 minutes of your time…not a bad hourly rate if you ask me!
However, testers have to record themselves and give audible feedback as they navigate a website or app. This helps the website/app owner understand areas they can improve.
Occasionally, User Testing also runs live test sessions with customers that pay around $60 for one straight hour of testing. User Testing pays out through PayPal, and there's no minimum redemption amount.
There are also plenty of other websites like User Testing you can try as well if you want similar hustles.
Availability: Mostly global.
25. LifePoints
LifePoints is another popular survey website that's worth adding to your routine. And according to LifePoints, they've paid more than $22 million to members so far.
The platform is also pretty simple…sign up, answer surveys, and get paid.
LifePoints lets you redeem points from surveys for PayPal cash and a variety of free gift cards, so again, pretty straightforward.
The minimum LifePoints payout is around $5, which will probably take around a dozen surveys or a bit more to reach, assuming you don't get disqualified too often.
Availability: Mostly global.
26. Qmee
Qmee is one of the more interesting beermoney websites when you consider how diverse the platform is.
On Qmee, you can earn points by answering short surveys, searching the web, reading emails, shopping online, and more. Plus, Qmee also has a money-saving browser extension that helps you earn points as you search the web and find cashback opportunities.
You can redeem points for PayPal cash, gift cards, or charitable donations. Additionally, Qmee doesn't have a minimum payout requirement, which is pretty sweet.
Check out our post on Qmee hacks to make more money and the best Qmee alternatives if you want to find even more opportunities to earn!
Availability: U.S., Canada, Australia, and the UK.

27. Drop
Drop is my favorite reward app that pays you for shopping online or in-store at your favorite brands.
Additionally, Drop recently added a games section that's similar to Mistplay. You can also answer the occasional survey for extra points.
Admittedly, the most lucrative way to make money on Drop is to shop online; you can regularly find cashback offers ranging from $10 to $75+ depending on what you buy.
Drop does have a $25 redemption minimum, but I've earned about $50 from Drop over the past 2 years or so and it's very easy to use.
Availability: U.S. and Canada.
28. Acorns
Now, I'm normally not the biggest fan of micro-investing apps since I prefer DIY investing. However, when it comes to beermoney apps, a lot of people gravitate towards apps like Acorns.
In a nutshell, Acorns is a spare-change investing app that rounds up your purchases to invest on your behalf.
For example, if you bought a drink for $2.45, Acorns would round up to $3 and invest the extra $0.55 for you.
Acorns invests in a variety of exchange traded funds, or ETFs, depending on your financial goals and level of risk tolerance.
In exchange for doing so, Acorns charges $1 per month. There are other Acorns plans, and the platform has recently added some cashback rewards and other opportunities to earn.
However, at its core, Acorns is designed to take bits of spare change and help you invest to make money daily.
Availability: United States.
29. Mobile Performance Meter
When it comes to passive income apps, one of my all-time favorites is Mobile Performance Meter.
After all, I've earned more than $75 in free money since using this app, and it's one of the best beermoney apps around in my opinion.
Basically, Mobile Performance Meter pays you for selling your data to communication companies that are interested in testing cellular network performance and how you use the web.
You run the app in the background of your phone. In exchange, you earn approximately $0.10 to $0.30 per day.
That doesn't sound like a lot, but that's at least $36.50 per year on the low end and $109.50 on the higher side! And if you add other apps like Nielsen's Computer & Mobile Panel as well, your passive income can start stacking up.
You can cash out at $5 through PayPal or various gift cards, and I've never had a problem redeeming rewards with this company.
Availability: United States and Canada.
30. MobileXpression
Like Mobile Performance Meter, MobileXpression is a paid research panel that helps companies test network performance and how you browse the web.
However, unlike Mobile Performance Meter, you get paid in weekly credits for running this app, not cash.
Credits are redeemable for free gift cards to Amazon, Best Buy, and Starbucks. I prefer Mobile Performance Meter since the earnings seem steadier and my phone eventually had problems with MobileXpression.
Regardless, you can still earn a few dollars worth of credits per month with this beermoney app once you tinker with it a bit.
Availability: United States and Canada.
31. Dosh
If you like Drop, you're going to love Dosh. In a nutshell, Dosh is the completely passive version of Drop, so it's the best beermoney app for anyone who doesn't want to put in extra work.
Once you connect a debit or credit card to Dosh, you automatically earn cashback for shopping at Dosh partners.
Current partners include companies like Walmart, Instacart, Dunkin Donuts, GNC, Sephora, and dozens of others. Dosh also pays you real cash. Once you reach $15, you cash out with Venmo, PayPal, or direct deposit.
Availability: United States.
32. AppStation
If you like Mistplay, AppStation is another gaming app you can add to your routine. This Android-only app lets you download and play new mobile games in exchange for points.
Points are redeemable for gift cards and rewards at companies like Amazon, Xbox, Walmart, Google Play credit, and Steam.
The game selection is also decent, and genres include strategy, arcade, cards, betting, and multiplayer mobile games. The minimum payout requirement is $5, and overall, AppStation is another nifty app for mobile gaming fans.
Availability: United States.
33. Cash Magnet
If you have a spare Android phone laying around, Cash Magnet is another beermoney app you should try.
Now, this is one weird way to make money, and it's unlike any other app on this list. Cash Magnet actually transforms your phone into an autosurfing device that browses the web. As your phone runs, you earn points.
You have to download mobile games to let Cash Magnet run longer per day, so it's a bit of a complicated system. Personally, I used Cash Magnet when phone farming and earned more than $70.
I wouldn't run this app on your main phone since it basically takes over your device, but it's viable if you have a burner phone laying around.
Availability: Global.
34. S'more Lockscreen
If you want another easy $0.10 per day on autopilot, the S'more lockscreen app is for you!
In exchange for placing ads on your phone's lockscreen, S'more pays you $0.10 worth of points per day. You can also answer surveys for money, but at its core, this is another passive earner that's available for Android.
If you run S'more for one year and answer some surveys, that's about $50 in free money…not bad! Plus, S'more lets you cash out with free gift cards once you reach $1.50, which is only 15 days of activity.
Availability: United States.
35. McMoney
Another weird category of beermoney apps involve getting paid for receiving text messages. Yup, that's right…companies like McMoney pay you to let companies text you.
McMoney claims their clients are interested in testing mobile network performance in different parts of the world. Each text message you get is worth a few pennies. You can cash out through PayPal once you reach $1.
Ultimately, texting apps that pay are probably the least lucrative type of beermoney app. However, if you're running other similar apps, this will boost earnings slightly.
Availability: Global.
If you like this app, also check out our Money SMS review for more ideas on how to get paid to text.
Tips For Getting Started
I want to wrap up our beermoney guide with a quick note on how to tell if a beermoney website or app is legit or not. Generally, here are some warning signs you should keep note of:
- High Payout Requirements – If a website or app seems like it'll take months or years to cash out, it's not worth it.
- High Sign Up Bonuses – Again, if a beermoney platform claims you can earn $20+ for signing up, there's usually some sort of catch.
- High Earning Claims – A lot of companies claim things like “earn $5+ or $20+ per survey!” These are almost always lies.
- A Lack Of Reviews – Always check Reddit and r/Beermoney for reviews if you're considering an app or website.
Hopefully, this guideline helps you stay safe when exploring this side hustle community!

Final Thoughts
Well, there you have it: you're now ready to make some extra cash on the side with your computer or phone.
I've been a part of this world for more than five years now. In fact, beermoney is why I started a blog in the first place. I know none of these ideas will transform your finances, but that's really not the goal here.
These are all simple, easy ways to earn some rewards in your spare time…not ideas that will let you quit your 9-5 job. Hopefully, you find a few ideas in this guide that work well in your country.
