Opinion Champ Review – Is This Survey Site Legit & Worth It?

Answering surveys for money is an extremely popular way to make money online.

This is because there are so many survey sites out there, and the process is also pretty straightforward.

But, it's no secret that I don't like paid surveys and think most of them are a complete waste of time…that's why I spend time reviewing different ones so you don't have to waste your time.

So today, we're taking a look at a slightly lesser-known survey website: Opinion Champ.

What Is Opinion Champ?

Opinion Champ is a market research panel where people can take part in paid surveys, focus groups, and product review groups to get paid for their opinions.

If you've ever used websites like Branded Surveys or Toluna, then Opinion Champ shouldn't be too difficult to get started with.

Quest Global Research Group owns Opinion Champ, and like I said, this is definitely one of the lesser-known get-paid-to websites out there.

However, Opinion Champ calls itself the “all-in-one survey platform” and states you can make money from the comfort of your own home or while on the go.

But, how does Opinion Champ work, and does it stack up against more popular survey websites like Swagbucks and Survey Junkie?

Well, I tested out this survey site to find out how it all works and the earning potential, so let's dive in!

How Does Opinion Champ Work?

I signed up for Opinion Champ to test out the platform for this review. And if you want to make money with Opinion Champ, the process is basically identical to any other beermoney website out there.

Let's cover how to get started and the different earning options that you have.

1. Sign Up

Quest Mindshare, also known as Quest Global Research Group, is a Canadian company that owns Opinion Champ.

However, despite being Canadian, you can sign up for Opinion Champ if you live in the United States and Canada.

Signing up for this panel is free and requires your email address and to create a password.

Once you sign up, you need to complete your profile to begin answering surveys or using Opinion Champ's other earning methods.

This will take about 10 to 20 minutes and involves answering short surveys about your demographic information. Specifically, you answer questions about:

• Your age and gender
• Education level
• Various consumer preferences
• Job
• Education
• Background

This is standard in the world of paid surveys, and sites like InboxDollars and others all do this when you sign up.

This is largely to help match you to more relevant survey opportunities and to give different research panels a better idea of who you actually are.

2. Answer Surveys

The main way to make money with Opinion Champ is to answer paid surveys.

After you complete your profile, your Opinion Champ dashboard displays a list of available surveys, how many points they pay, and a time estimate.

As you can see, a lot of surveys on my dashboard take 10 to 20 minutes and pay around 2,000 to 3,000 points.

For context, this is about $1.60 to $2.40 for a survey. Most of the shorter surveys pay under $1.

I'll cover Opinion Champ's earning potential later, but just know the hourly rate for answering surveys with this website is probably around $2 to $4 per hour, max.

Also note that you can get disqualified mid-survey like other survey websites, which is one of the main reasons I don't like this type of side hustle.

3. Join Focus Groups & Product Review Groups

According to Opinion Champ and other Opinion Champ reviews, it's possible to get paid to review certain products.

Like other product review gigs, this basically involves getting sent a product from a client of Opinion Champ, using it or completing specific tasks with it, and then sharing your opinion.

The frustrating part is that Opinion Champ doesn't have much info in terms of how you get these gigs, how much they pay, or when they become available.

I think Opinion Champ emails you with opportunities if they arise, but I wouldn't expect this to be a common way to make money.

4. Get Paid

As you answer surveys, points accumulate in your Opinion Champ account.

You need 12,500 points to cash out, so this would require completing at least 5 or 6 of the highest-paying surveys to reach 12,500 points.

1,000 Opinion Champ points equals $1, so this is a $12.50 minimum withdrawal requirement.

Honestly, this isn't too bad in the world of paid surveys since sites like InboxDollars require $30 to cash out. However, you can redeem rewards on Swagbucks for $1 and on Survey Junkie for $5.

Additionally, various reward apps like Fetch Rewards let you cash out different free gift cards at just $3, so Opinion Champ is somewhere in the middle in terms of getting money fast.

Opinion Champ Rewards

Currently, you can only redeem Opinion Champ points for PayPal cash. This means no direct deposit, free gift cards, or cryptocurrency.

This isn't a huge deal since PayPal cash is almost as good as real cash, but a lack of direct deposit is always a bit of a downside.

How Much Does Opinion Champ Pay?

Time to get into the main purpose behind our Opinion Champ review: the earning potential.

Honestly, Opinion Champ isn't one of the highest-paying survey websites out there.

For example, research panels like Pinecone Research (U.S. only) pay $3 per survey you complete. You can also find higher-paying surveys on Survey Junkie.

But overall, I dislike surveys as a side hustle in general because your hourly pay is always going to be low.

So, expect to earn $1 to $4 per hour with Opinion Champ but not more than that.

Is Opinion Champ Legit?

In my opinion, Opinion Champ is a legit surey site, but it's not worth using because it barely pays and some users report not even receiving payments on time or getting credited for surveys they complete. Overall, it's one of the worse survey sites out there compared to popular alternatives like Survey Junkie and Swagbucks.

Plus, many Opinion Champ reviews are bad, some users state that surveys don't credit, and there's a weird lack of information on forums like Reddit.

So, I'd say you can give Opinion Champ a try if you're out of survey websites, but be cautious because some users have bad experiences.

Other Opinion Champ Reviews

I always like to look at what other users say about a particular online side hustle to gauge if it's worth doing.

And, I have to say, other Opinion Champ reviews aren't very good. For starters, Opinion Champ has a 3.2 star rating on Trustpilot, but the only actual written review rates it 1 out of 5 stars.

The rate also says: “If survey ends at these guys, you won't be credited properly.”

This is the worst kind of feedback to hear about a survey website, and other Opinion Champ reviews aren't better. I mean, Survey Police gave Opinion Champ a 1.6 out of 5 star rating, and ratings are generally pretty kind on that site.

The bottom line is that this is a pretty lackluster survey website, so I'd try alternatives to get quick money first (more on this down below!)

Opinion Champ Alternatives

In my opinion, the best way to increase your monthly income is to turn to various gig apps like delivering for DoorDash or trying jobs like Instacart.

These gig jobs typically pay more than minimum wage and let you choose when you work, so it's possible to make several hundred or even thousand dollars a month in the right market.

Now, if you need to work from home, I still think there are better side hustles than answering surveys.

For example, you can try freelance writing or freelancing in general. Alternatively, sites like Appen let you complete various microtasks, and you can usually earn more than any survey website.

Now, if you absolutely want to answer surveys for cash, some Opinion Champ alternatives you can try include:

None of these apps or websites like Opinion Champ will seriously boost your income, but I think the earning potential and reward selection is better with these alternatives.

Who Should Use Opinion Champ?

In my opinion, it's best to skip this paid survey website.

The alternative survey sites in the industry like Survey Junkie, PrizeRebel, Prolific, and others simply pay more and have more opportunities to earn.

Honestly, I can't think of a reason you would use Opinion Champ over any leading survey website unless you run out of surveys to answer and need to try an alternative.

In this case, you can give Opinion Champ a chance, but keep an eye on your balance and make sure you're actually getting paid for the surveys you complete!
