How To Answer Surveys For Gift Cards
1. Branded Surveys
One of the most popular ways to answer surveys for gift cards is to use Branded Surveys.
This survey website is available in the U.S., Canada, and the UK. You can sign up for free and within a few minutes and then begin completing short online surveys to earn.
You only need $5 to cash out, so you can get quick money with this site. As for rewards, PayPal cash is an option as well as gift cards to companies like Amazon, Best Buy, Nike, Walmart, and Uber Eats.
The site also has a Banded Elite loyalty program which pays you with cash bonuses every month for the amount of survey you complete. In other words, if you take more surveys and earn more money, you get larger incentives for being a loyal user.
Overall, Branded Surveys is one of my favorite ways to answer surveys for gift cards. And I love that it has a low cash out minimum and loyalty program.

2. Freecash
Freecash is a newer rewards website where you can earn gift cards by answering surveys, installing apps, watching videos, and by playing exciting real money games.
In fact, Freecash has over 100 earning options at a given time. The survey rates are competitive too, and some of the gaming offers payout $5 to $50+ upon completion.
Cashing out is easy too. You can redeem earnings for gift cards to Amazon, Apple, Google Play, or prepaid Visa. PayPal cash and even crypto rewards are available too. And some rewards only take $0.25 to redeem!
Overall, if you want more variety than a lot of the instant cash survey sites out there, I'd suggest trying Freecash.

3. Swagbucks
Out of all the ways to answer surveys for gift cards, Swagbucks is definitely one of the most popular options.
Swagbucks is really the king of beermoney websites, and it's an easy way to score free gift cards for sharing your opinion. And it's a platform Tom and I have used for years and have cashed out plenty of times.
Plus, Swagbucks has numerous other ways to earn rewards besides answering surveys, including:
- Playing mobile games
- Shopping online
- Referring friends
- Watching ads
- Answering daily polls
One advantage of this surveys for gift card site is that many gift card rewards start at just $1 so you can get paid the same day.
You can also redeem dozens of gift cards to retailers like Amazon, CVS, Macy's, Sephora, Target, and more.

Survey Junkie is another effective way to get gift cards for doing surveys. In fact, it's extremely popular in the survey space and has paid out millions to its users.
Signing up is completely free and just takes a few minutes. Once you sign up, you take a demographics questionnaire like with most gpt sites to help Survey Junkie match you with relevant surveys.
This helps you earn more paid surveys and avoid surveys that you don’t qualify for, lowering the overall disqualification rate.
It only takes $5 to cash out as well. Some notable gift card options include Amazon, Groupon, Subway, Target, and Walmart.
Survey Junkie also has a nifty mobile app, so it's also a nice phone side hustle you can try if you want to earn while you're on the go.

InboxDollars is one of the most popular rewards websites out there. And you can sign up if you're 18 or older and live in the United States.

However, like Swagbucks, there's a variety of ways to earn cash with InboxDollars, including:
- Watching videos
- Playing video games
- Shopping online
- Reading emails
- Using free coupons
- Scanning barcodes
While answering surveys is still the easiest way to earn rewards, the other options above can help maximize those earnings.

Tips For Taking Online Surveys For Gift Cards
Now that you know some of the best ways to complete surveys for gift cards, I want to share some tips I've learned over the years to help you maximize your earnings:
- Set Goals. Do you want to make $20 a day, or $50 or even more? Give yourself a monetary amount to reach for each site so you can stay committed before moving on. This is especially useful if you’re trying to turn this into a worthy digital side hustle.
- Use Multiple Sites At Once. Take advantage of the fact that surveys don’t show up constantly on every site. With multiple sites open in separate tabs, you’ll have a higher chance of getting surveys more often.
- Cherry Pick High-Paying Surveys. With all those sites open, tackle the highest paying ones first. They can get taken quickly by other users and they’re usually more worth the time you’re spending
- Multitask With Easier Surveys. The easier surveys require little to no brain power to actually complete. Watch some TV, review a lecture, or listen to a podcast while you’re working on the simple ones.
Tom also made a YouTube video that shares even more of his favorite survey sites as well as tips and red flags to watch out for.

Final Thoughts
Completing surveys for gift cards can be a useful side hustle if you truly enjoy it or it’s really easy for you.
Just keep in mind that these survey sites aren’t going to make you rich. Realistically, if you grind multiple sites together, you can make a nice $200 per month or so. Just don’t expect it to pay all your bills, let alone something like rent.
All that being said, it’s not a bad idea to consider a gig app job like DoorDash, Instacart, Amazon Flex, or Uber Eats. These gigs make way more money as a side hustle and can actually help pay for things like bills and groceries.
