Is SurveySay Legit? My Honest Review & Experience
There are so many different survey opportunities out there, all of which claim you can make easy money online in your spare time.
I've personally tested plenty of these paid survey sites over the years. And let me tell you: a lot of them aren't worth signing up for and barely pay you anything.
One site that's been growing in popularity is SurveySay. Like its competitors, it says you can answer online surveys to make some quick money in your spare time.
But is SurveySay legit? And how much money can you actually make with this survey panel?
I tested out the platform to find out. And my SurveySay review is covering how it all works, the earning potential, and what some of your better alternatives are.
Let's get to it.

What Is SurveySay?
SurveySay is a survey aggregator that connects its users with different survey opportunities that they can complete to earn money online. This means it's a middleman, working with other market research groups and survey panels to bring them new users.
Many GPT sites work like this and don't actually run their own surveys. Instead, they partner with larger research panels like Dynata, Peanut Labs, and others.
The advantage of this model is that you can find a bunch of survey opportunities under one roof. But the downside is that you might not make as much, and you might not get matched with enough opportunities depending on your demographics.
This is actually one of the main problems I encountered when using SurveySay, and I'll explain that down below when covering how this survey panel works.
How Does SurveySay Work?
Using SurveySay is very simple since it's just a survey aggregator. All-in-all, it works in four simple step if everything goes smoothly:
- Get matched with available surveys
- Complete surveys to get paid
- Cash out
Time to explain each step in a bit more detail!
1. Sign Up
Signing up for SurveySay was free and easy. For the purposes of this SurveySay review, I visited the SurveySay website online to test it out. All I had to do to sign up was enter my date of birth, gender, and if I'm of Hispanic origin or not.
SurveySay doesn't even ask you for an email address or your name, which is odd. Usually, beermoney sites require entering a bit of info so they can match you to surveys a bit better.
Anyway, this means it takes about 30 seconds to “sign up” for SurveySay and to see if you qualify for any surveys in the first place.
2. Get Matched With Surveys
After I joined SurveySay, I expected to get matched with plenty of surveys so I could start making money. However, the site didn't have any offerings for me as a 40-something-year-old female. All it did was refer me to another survey portal called LifePoints.
Since I thought my demographics might be stopping me from seeing other additional opportunities, I tried registering again with different ages and genders.
Right now the only recommendation the SurveySay seems to have is to join LifePoints regardless of your age or gender.
And a lot of the time, SurveySay doesn't even refer you to anything; it just says you can't qualify.
Plus, if you don't live in the United States, it's highly unlikely that you can match with any survey opportunities at all. Overall, this is a pretty serious downside for this side hustle, and I found the process to be a little bit disappointing.
3. Complete Surveys
The normal next step would be to complete surveys to earn money. However, SurveySay didn't have any available surveys for me to complete when I was testing it. It doesn’t even ask my email to notify me when new opportunities become available.
The only thing it does offer is a recommendation to join LifePoints, which you have to register for separately. Any surveys done through that website are paid for via LifePoints.
Overall, I found this process pretty annoying and disappointing, and it would be nice to have some other earning options, like playing games for money or watching ads.
4. Cash Out
With no surveys to complete or even qualify for, there was no way to earn income or get paid from SurveySay at the time of this post. The site didn't even have the structure to register completely, or to set up an account, so I don't see a possible way to make money or cash out via SurveySay.
The entire point of this website is to connect you with high-paying survey panels. But I think it does a poor job at this, and it didn't work for me at all.
Is SurveySay Legit?
SurveySay is a legit online website that connects you with various survey panels to make extra money. But I don't think it's worth using since it's very hard to actually qualify for surveys, and the website is quite frustrating.
Plus, you can always sign up directly with these various survey companies, like LifePoints or Branded Surveys, and skip the middleman part entirely.
I don't think SurveySay is a scam. But the website feels incomplete and doesn’t have enough to it to be considered an actual survey website.
How Much Does SurveySay Pay?
Since SurveySay just connects you to different survey panels, it doesn't actually pay you directly. So, how much money you make depends on the surveys and websites you get matched to.
Most survey sites pay $1 to $5 per hour max, so don't expect to find some super high-paying side hustles if SurveySay actually works for you.
Pros & Cons
Here are some of the pros and cons of SurveySay that you can consider before deciding to test out this website:
Pros:
- Free to use
- Shares opportunities from other survey groups you might not have heard of
Cons:
- SurveySay is just a survey aggregator and doesn't have its own surveys
- I couldn't register or connect with any surveys besides LifePoints
- Some users report large amount of spam emails after connecting with SurveySay's partners
Other SurveySay Reviews
I thought SurveySay was a bust when testing it out. But it's always helpful to see what other users have to say as well so you can make a more informed decision.
Thankfully, there are plenty of other SurveySay reviews on Trustpilot. However, the website has a 1.38 average star rating and many complaints. Here's what some other users are saying:
- Fabi says: “This is fake and a total scam! You just waste your time and money.”
- G.B says: “I started getting a ton of email from ridiculous sites when I started doing surveys. I'm convinced they sell your email address. PlusThere were never any surveys that paid over a dollar.”
- Seriously B says: “They have real websites listed, but the links are all fake and bring you to a fake survey that will collect and store any information you give it. I think I am going to fill one out with a bunch of fake information and a slew of insults for fun because I'm bored, just how some fake post said they decided to take the survey because they were bored as well.”
- Brandon S says: “Scam from start to finish. They just want your personal info so they can sell your email and phone number to other scammers.”
As you can see, many users think SurveySay is actually trying to collect personal information from you when it connects you to partners so it can sell that data.
This is another massive red flag, and I think there are so many other legit online jobs and survey sites you should use instead.

Frequently Asked Questions
If you’re thinking about using SurveySay, here are some of the commonly asked questions that you might have about this survey website.
Is SurveySay A Scam?
From my testing, I don't think SurveySay is a scam. After asking a couple basic questions, all it did was refer me to another survey website. It didn’t promise anything, ask me for money or have any opportunities to get paid for.
However, some users are concerned that SurveySay might be trying to sell your data. In any case, I don't think it's worth using or even signing up for.
Is SurveySay Safe?
At the time of this review, SurveySay didn’t even ask my name, address or email address, much less any personal details. The only info required was my gender and date of birth. I’m not sure what they would really do with only that, so I would consider the site safe, mostly because there’s really nothing to it.
